When in the Maremma, do as the Maremmani do. Well, at least when it comes to accommodation, anyway.
Renting a holiday home is the height of luxury in the Maremma. Sure, there are some very chic hotels in Grosseto, but they don’t have the space or freedom of a holiday home.
And the Maremmani don’t do things by halves when it comes to their rental properties. They’re usually the most beautiful homes with every necessity you could possibly want on holiday – fully stocked kitchen, gorgeous private gardens, pool and only the best furniture. Some even have day spas and sports facilities.
They’re not necessarily expensive either. Holiday homes are incredibly popular among Italian travellers, so most tend to be pretty reasonable. If you’re travelling as a family or in a big group of friends, they can sometimes be your cheapest option.
